Having a poor network connection can be frustrating when trying to play games or use applications on your device. While using 5g/4g mobile data* is acceptable, if you experience disconnects or other connectivity issues we suggest you connect to a secure, strong Wi-Fi network in order to ensure a smooth gaming experience.

Connecting to a secure Wi-Fi network
Another important step in troubleshooting network issues is to ensure that you are connected to a Wi-Fi network that is turned on and secure.
To connect to a Wi-Fi network, follow these steps:
- Open your device’s Settings app
- Tap the Network & internet selection, then proceed to Internet
- Tap a network available in the list. If a network has a lock symbol next to it, this network requires a password to use.
Once connected to a network, you should see the Wi-Fi indicator symbol at the top of your screen. If you are experiencing a slow connection, or some of the bars in the symbol are missing, you may need to move closer to your router.
General network troubleshooting for Android devices
- Restart your device. Doing a complete restart of your device can sometimes be all it takes to fix a connection issue.
- If restarting your device doesn’t seem to improve your connection, trying to switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data might work. The steps to do this are as follows:
- Navigate to your Settings app and tap on the Network & internet or Connections section. Depending on the model of your device, you will have one of these two options.
- Turn off your Wi-Fi, and make sure that your mobile data is on.
- If this doesn’t fix your connection issues, try turning your Wi-Fi back on and reconnecting to it.
Additional network troubleshooting steps
If you are still experiencing poor connectivity issues, a restart of your Wi-Fi router may be necessary to improve your connection. To do this, following the steps below:
- Unplug the router from the outlet, and ensure that all of the lights on the router are off.
- Wait 30 seconds to a full minute.
- Plug the router back into the electrical outlet and wait for all of the lights to come back on.
