iOS Instructions
iPhone X or later, and other models with Face ID:
- Press the side button and the volume up button at the same time.
- Release both of the buttons.
- A thumbnail of your screenshot will appear in the lower-left corner of your iPhone. You can tap the thumbnail to open it, or swipe left on the thumbnail to save and dismiss it.
iPhone 8 or earlier, and other models with Touch ID:
- Press the side button and the Home button at the same time.
- Release both of the buttons.
- A thumbnail of your screenshot will appear in the lower-left corner of your iPhone. You can tap the thumbnail to open it, or swipe left on the thumbnail to save and dismiss it.
To find any screenshots that you have taken, you will need to navigate to the Photos app and click on Albums. From there, scroll down until you see the Media Type section, and there you will see a folder labeled “Screenshots”.
Android Instructions
- Open the screen that you are wanting to capture.
- Press the power button for a few seconds. Then tap the Screenshot option. If that does not work, press and hold the power and volume down buttons at the same time for a few seconds. This can vary depending on your device.
- Your device will take a picture of the screen and save it.
- At the bottom left of your screen, you will see a preview of the screenshot. On some devices, you will see the screenshot capture icon at the top of the screen.
To find any screenshots that you have taken, navigate to your device’s Photo app. From there tap Library, and then the album labeled “Screenshots” will appear.
